Just one gift, but it's one I can use for the rest of my life (and beyond).

Everybody celebrates the first Christmas.

How come nobody celebtrates the third one - when Harod's men killed all the two year-old male babies in his kingdom?

Thank ya lord!

HappyT,

You are one truly UNHAPPY individual. You can't even put up a chordial post to "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year"!

If you are always going to post such negative garbage, why not just ignore them?

Sam,

I got side tracked by HappyT's cheerful comments.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Hannukah to all of the PG family!

May the next year be better for us all, whoever or where ever we are.

God bless.

So, being reminded of what the Bible says really irritates you, yet you call ME negative.

Happy New Years, HappyTrails,

May God help you find some positive things in the year to come. Maybe you'll even be able to simply say Merry Christmas next year.

You might have had a point if it took Herod 2 years to decide to kill all the 2 year olds but the way I read things, it was probably only a matter of weeks. Herod was just bracketing to make sure he didn't miss.

Oh yeah, it was Herod who took that decision - why blame God? Herod feared a political rival. Jesus was never going to be that, especially not at just a few weeks, or maybe months, of age.

HT, I'm well aware that you will interpret things to suit yourself. We all do that kind of thing. But why not try to look at things from a brighter perspective? Who knows, maybe you'll actually find some happiness instead of coming across as being miserable all the time.

In any case, I hope you did have a merry Christmas and that the new year will bring you propserity and joy, not necessarily in that order.

Either God knew and allowed it, or He is not all powerful. Sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

Hard to accept that the God in the Bible is a baby-killer, but I guess you can interpret it any way you like.

He killed millions of innocent people in the old testament too - IF you believe in the bible.

Of course He knew it, but as for allowing it... Here is where your theology starts to come apart - MANKIND allowed it, God gave dominion over the earth to Adam, he gave it to Satan, Jesus won it back for us. Having delegated the authority to mankind God cannot take it back for Himself without breaking His Word, which He will not do.

Define "innocent". According to the Bible NO ONE is innocent... And the wages of sin is death...

Hmm, I'd guess that about now is when the calls to lock this thread for being "against the rules" should start appearing...

HappyT,

In a previous thread based on a comedy clip about Tiger Woods, you went from assault, to murder, to making wife beating jokes, and finished off with threatening to put up pics of O.J. Simpson's wife with her throat cut. I asked at that time how you were going to "lower", (not top), yourself then, and I guess I now have my answer.

Here is HappyTrails comment on weinsam's "Merry Christmas" thread;

I guess you finish off by saying that God is a "baby killer" and mass murderer.

Do you have any more witty and heartwarming things for us for the holiday season?

Please don't go any lower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob

I agree 100% John.

I really hope 2010 is a better year for all of the world. Regardless of your country, race, politics or religion.

Lawrie,

Isn't it sad to think that a "Merry Christmas" thread has to be locked simply because one person starts calling God a "baby killer" and mass murderer?

Since I spent my first Christmas alone, this really is a major disappointment to me.

But I have my wonderful son, who spent Christmas with his grandmother on his mother's side of the family.

So I have much to be thankful for!

God bless you Lawrie.

That was a nice interpretation

In a bluegrass key? What's a bluegrass key? Bluegrass style, sure. But bluegrass key?
