I've been having a recurring issue with the '21 version crashing when I regenerate a song. Has happened with multiple styles, multiple instruments. I've updated to the current build (509) and the issue still exists. It may have something to do with regenerating tracks at double or half time, I have a couple of those in there.
The issue is more frequent if I have more than one instrument set at double or half time. I have not noticed the crashing when all instruments are set to normal time. Just wanted to pass this along.

This crash is still happening. Regenerated a track with only 3 instruments, all of them in normal time.
The instruments are:
3496 acoustic bass
3058 acoustic guitar
3142 5 string fiddle
Crash occurs when I regenerate the track. Typically happens after several regenerations. The problem report my Mac generated says it's an
EXC_CRASH (SIGABRT)
Exception Codes 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY
Not being a programmer I don't know if this is sufficient info. However, every time the crash occurs it generates the "Band-in-a-box quite unexpectedly" message with prompts to report it to Apple.
I'm running a 2019 iMac with 16 GB of memory and my OS is Catalina, version 10.15.7

Open the Activity Monitor — you can do this right after the crash. See of any line under CPU is now in red. If so, double-click to open it. Now click on Open Files and Ports and scroll all the way down. This may show of there was a conflict with a file, .kxt or app when the crash occurred. It probably won't show BIAB and that's ok, I'd be surprised if it did.
If you copy and paste that line, we can all see it. That one at the bottom of the list is the only line we need to see, the one that popped up when the crash occurred. None of the rest are important.
I'm working with Apple right now on a similar issue between Dropbox and Corel. Let's just say that one company's being quite stubborn about this but the Activity Monitor doesn't lie.

just crashed again, opened Activity Monitor and nothing is in red.

Please go to Options | Return to Factory Settings.
If that does not resolve your issue, please close out of Band-in-a-Box (if it was open) and go to Finder | Applications | Band-in-a-Box | Preferences. Duplicate the Preferences folder, and rename the duplicate something else as a backup, like "Preferences_backup". Then go back to the original Preferences folder and try deleting the content of the Preferences folder, but not the folder itself. Then re-launch the program.
If it continues to crash, please email support@pgmusic.com. Please include your version, serial number, build number, and screenshots of any error messages you see.
