Is it easy to transfer BIAB/RealBand recorded tracks to REAPER??
I am asking because I just got me a Jamstik and, I guess, I'm only going to be able to record with it is with one of their listed DAW's (Reaper is one) but neither BIAB nor RealBand is listed.
It is very simple. There are a number of methods one can use. Normally I export to .wav from either BIAB or RealBand. I leave the folder open. Then take note of the tempo in BIAB (or RealBand).
Create (or open) a project in Reaper, set the tempo to agree and simply drag the tracks into Reaper (omitting the combined track).
If I want MIDI tracks I usually pull the MIDI into the export thingy in BIAB and simply open the folder and pull it into Reaper. Usually I’ll open an instrument track and pull the track into it.
Once into Reaper I tend to normalise all tracks to -12db this is a simple step and gives me a good level to start the mixing process. I also set all tracks to centre and flat in BIAB before the export so Reaper has full control of all aspects.
RB should load Jamstix just fine, though it is not listed in the known DAW list, I've used it here. As long as you have a recent version of RB (last few years)
Easiest way to copy tracks from RB to Reaper is to simply drag them. Grab the track number in RB and drag it to Reaper, works fine here. I'll see if I can find an image. Just make sure Tempo and Time Sig match up between the two.
