You are nothing if not authentic. And this has that stamp, that patina of "genuine" all over it. I remember us talking about you producing "Amazing Grace" for a while, about a year or so ago, so I'm so happy you've finally done it! Bravo.
P.S. love that solo in the middle, but, most of all, your way of singing this. As I said: 100% authentic and 100% moving - had a little tear in my eye, towards the end. Hats off.

Hi Ed,
A really heart-felt rendition of Amazing Grace. The "solo's", especially the first are haunting and very melodic. Your vocal rendition at times reminds me of Willie Nelson. Whenever I have sung this song, I always get choked up on the verse:
"Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; 'Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home."

One of those rare instances where the story of the song's creation is as powerful as the song's message.
Yes, as James says...authentic, a simple setting as nothing more is required when the voice singing that melody is committed to it.
