I'm using an Audient iD22 and analougue in to my PC.
I recall having issues like this before but cannot solve this one. Tried switching to WAS, MME or making sure I'm in 44.00 khz rather than 96 khz in my DAW.

I'm up to date and hoping there is a 'GURU' out there that can help with this.

Many Thanks. blush

If windows (Windows Media Player) is set to the same audio device you need to uncheck "Always On" in the audio device settings in Biab.
I think they will move away from using Windows Media Player to audition styles and instruments and use an internal player inside Biab.

Hi Mal, could you please go to Options > Preferences > Audio, and tell me what is selected for Audio Driver Type? Try switching between WAS/Windows Audio or MME, or try ASIO if your hardware supports it.

mal.
i gotta be brief as i'm haveing medical tests this week.
i'm an audient user bloke (evo)...
1. opts>prefs>audio...select WAS ..now clik
button audio driver....in the resulting dialog
POST A PIC OF YOUR AUDIO IN AND OUTPUT DRIVERS.
2. repeat for asio setting POST A PIC OF YOUR DRIVERS.
>>>ARE THE DRIVERS HILITED/SELECTED for in/out.
3. in your audient control panel post a pic again of your user sxelection.

i will check back as my time permits.

ps..sometimes audient has firmware and driver updates.
also if not done so ...audient has an excellent
article on optimising a pc for audio work.
if not done so..chek it out.

best
om

Is Windows set to use Audient iD22 or is Windows set to another Audio device.

MAL.
yes there is a need for pics..it helps the rest of us help you.
question..IN ASIO AND WAS IS THERE ONLY ONE DRIVER LINE SELECTION ? on my audient there are different line options.
IF MAL there is only one selection...then the id22
has a pretty fancy mixer with many user settings.
please post a pic of the id22 mixer.
another question...outside of any music software can you play an mp3 or wav and you hear it on your pc and eg phones plugged into the id22 ??

simon.
note the id 22 is different...i suspect it might be a fader down in the id22 mixer or a user setting.
quite a few settings on the id22 mixer display.

ps PIPELINE THATS WHY I WANTED PICS OF HIS SETTINGS !
exactly like you showed. ideally we also need pics of his win settings for record//playback plus advanced win settings also.

peace out.
om

This happens time and time again over the years because Biab uses the embedded WPM to play all the wma demos.
As I said they need to get away from that:
Quote:
Are you 100% sure it's actually using Windows Media Player directly? I don't think software past Windows XP does that (or at least they're definitely not supposed to).
