There is a font in "Band in a Box" that displays major chords with the triangle instead of "maj" and where you can also optionally select some of the most common jazz symbols variants: the BeStPlain ChordFont.

And to give credit where credit is due, my understanding it that it is a font developed by Brille here and incorporated into the production distribution of BIAB packages. Kudos to Brille for doing so.

The triangle designates Major, but there is little need to put the triangle without adding the 7 since the absence of a triangle (C) assumes it is major. So the C triangle 7 is a short hand for CMaj7.
The C triangle 6 is the same as C6 but remember the C triangle 7 is not the same as a C7 which is a dominate chord.
The term major generally designates a triad of a root - third - fifth, versus the term minor which designates a triad of root - flat third - fifth. But Major or Minor does not tell you what the 6th or 7th is doing.
This thread is fairly recent, so I'll jump in with a question/comment about the initial post. I'm trying to get a D augmented 5th chord to play in a RealTrack.
When I disable the Natural Arrangement setting for the track, I do get the A# consistently. But when it's enabled, I rarely if ever get it I regened the chart at least 5 times and might have gotten 1 in 1 measure. I'm surprised the Natural Arrangement algorithms consider the augmented 5th an optional note, as it is certainly a distinct harmonic color.
Any suggestions/thoughts?

Good question, gave me an opportunity to use my new toy to pound out the scale and chord on the piano and see it displayed on the screen (MIDIculous 4). This is the free version and it gives me exactly what I wanted.
Oh, back on topic. I can only give you the old tired montra: "..RTs are audio and you get what the artist played in the key and scale they were playing and you have little to no control how the chord is voiced". So with that in mind, here is a list of Scales Compatible with D Augmented. Surfice it to say these not the common pop and cowboy chord scales. Dan, what??? Enigmatic? Hungarian gypsy? Sorry, I didn’t learn those and a dozen more. But it doesn’t look like you’re kidding. Prometheus? What on earth …
Chuck, my thoughts are, if it’s important that you hear the nuances of the chords you wrote, disable Natural Arrangement. I did.

I have been listening to Rick Beato a lot recently.
And regarding the Prometeus Scale: 1, 2, 3, ♭5, 6, ♭7 or W, W, W, 1½, H, W. well you can blame that on Google!
