I have always bought and upgraded UltraPAK as well as all 49PAKs and all XTRA Styles PAKs and all Loops-with-style PAKs and the one MultiStyles PAK.
I am going to upgrade again to UltraPAK and buy the new 49PAK and the new XTRA Styles PAK.
Do I need the XPro Styles PAK 1 & 2 or are those just repeats of something I already have?

The website states: "Note: XPro Styles PAK 2 requires any package from Band-in-a-Box® version 2022. XPro Styles PAK 1 requires any package from Band-in-a-Box® version 2021."

JohnJohnJohn,
PG Music offers two distinct StylePAK products, Xtra Style PAKs and Xpro Style PAKs. The difference between the two products is what content is required to fully utilize a Style PAK.
Xpro Style PAKs are fully compatible with the ProCombo RealTracks included in the ProPAK. Since the ProPAK uses ProCombo RealTrack bands that are pulled from RealTrack sets that means the Xpro Styles will properly work with all packages. Since the Xpro PAKs were created new, from scratch, that means no user has the styles unless they purchase the PAKs so if you haven't purchased them yet, you don't have the styles.
Xtra Styles require the full RealTrack sets that are only included in the PlusPAK and Audiophile edition. ProPAK and MegaPAK users do not have all the RealTracks the styles require.
Up until the release of XproPAK #1 some ProPAK and MegaPAK users were purchasing Xtra Style PAK not realizing they did not have all the content the styles required.

Thanks but do I need them? Still confused! In short - no, you don't need them. But, if you're like me, you want it ALL.

Thanks Mike. So these are a unique set of styles that use RealTracks that are available in all BIAB versions? But they would still be unique to me even though I do have all RealTracks?

Yes, the styles are unique and not included in any Pro, Mega, Plus or Audiophile package.

Jim already confirmed. I just wanted to add that this unique set has some nice stuff in it. To me, it was worth the extra money.

I find the "Pro" label a bit misleading/confusing, which I think adds to the confusion about these packs. "Pro" is really the entry/base level of BiaB, not the most professional level available. So the "XPro" styles are styles that are guaranteed to work with RealTracks that come with the Pro (basic!) pack. I know even after several years I have to remind myself of this pack labeling, so in my mind and to my ears the "XPro" styles are not as good/varied as the "Xtra" styles, which require the Ultrapak or greater.

Many of us agree that the Pro Pak has a confusing name. It essentially is the Starter or Beginners Pak.

There are addon style paks, with the following names: “Xtra” as in “Xtra styles set 12” (these require the ultra pak or audiophile. They don’t work for pro or mega, because they use RealTracks that are only found on ultra/audiophile) And “XPro” as in “XPro styles set 2” (these work on all BiaB versions - pro, mega, ultra, audiophile)
They are all unique styles, so if you’re a BiaB ultra pack customer and have all the xtra styles sets, you don’t have the XPro styles and could buy them to add to your style library.
If you’re a BiaB pro customer, you could buy XPro 1 and XPro 2. (Don’t get the xtra styles sets as they require RealTracks that you don’t have)
Have Fun! Peter Gannon PG Music Inc.

Thanks Peter! Best explanation yet. I bought both XPro style PAKs along with my order!
