I have now received a Raspberry Pi4 8gb running at 1.8gH.
Both BIAB 64 bit and 32 bit open and run.
Forget using real tracks as the Microsoft emulation swamps the little machine and sound output crawls!
Track building from Real tracks takes about 30 secs to a minute.
Midi only with Real drums is about as fast as my Asus i5 laptop.
Connection to my Yamaha DGX is instant with no lag.
Rerouting output through a virtual synth works very well.
As a midi only setup using an external midi device or using a vst the Pi is incredibly small and is up to the job.

I have a developers version of Windows for ARM64 and testing some applications which are already available to run in native ARM code. Receiving almost daily updates from Microsoft.

My laptop has been updated to Windows 11 with no bugs found yet.

Thanks for the update and feedback. Band-in-a-Box running on a Rasberry Pi under Windows is an exciting proposition.

Garth,
Thanks for the report. That’s amazing that it runs, and a testament to the Raspberry, dealing with windows 11, BiaB and doing it on an ARM chip!
What do those raspberry boards cost these days?

That sounds interesting. BiaB on Mac is x64 but runs very fast on Silicon, including RT generation.

That's remarkable. Who would have thought this possible just a few years ago.

Yes, I watched a video to day of someone running our windows programming language (delphi) on a Mac, silicon (non intell) arm, chip. using parallels, with windows 11 for arm OS. And he was debugging it on a cpu level as it was an intel x64 machine. It was hard to keep track of what the heck was going on! Impressive nonetheless.

Hi Peter,
Raspberry Pi4B 8gb board costs around $100.
Overclocked mine to around 2gh.

I am testing a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W at present for projects at a museum and Perth observatory. Board costs $15.
These tiny boards have wireless and Bluetooth and output hdmi.
I am using a TV Usb2 socket as power source successfully.
These boards will revolutionise stage music production as they are already doing so in astronomy.

Having fun.

Garth

Not sure I follow all of the above discussion, but does this thread suggest that it's possible to run BIAB Win on an M1 Mac if I run it on Windows ARM via something like Parallels?
