Hi all,
Is there perchance a guide to how this works in BIAB 2022 - it sounds great.
I've seen the intro video but wondered which RealDrum Styles it applied to?
Surf Rock for example - need to tone down those cymbals sometimes :-)

Many thanks Chantelle, I found the video but is there a list of which Drum Tracks have the stems and which ones are planned for the future...? I tried to pause while they were scrolling through but... ;-( Kind Regards Murray

To find the Drum kits that have Drums Stems, locate the stems column (far left) click on the header to sort the largest number first.
You should see fifty-plus drum kits that have 5-17 stems associated with each kit.
When you select one of them the stems names are available for selection below the drum kit grid.
Yes, you can mix them if needed.
They have covered most of the genres and feels, but I would like to see more meat and potatoes standard kits covered.
Studio One (latest version), Win 11 23H2 , i9 -10940X 3.3 GHz, 32GB Mem, a 4K 40" monitor, PreSonus Studio Live III Console as interface/controller. secondarily test on Reaper, Cakewalk, and S1 on Surface Pro 3 Win 10 (latest versions).

This page may give you so more info: https://www.pgmusic.com/realdrumsstems.php?os=winIt lets you know how many RealDrums come with stems in each of the two sets we've released so far. You have to have the 49PAK 2022 to have them all - at least as far as the ones we've released so far! You can find them in the RealDrums Picker Dialogue. There's a column titled "stems". If it has a value other than 0, then it has drum stems available to it. We don't at this time have a list posted up on the site that specifically lists each of the individual drums at this time, and no list for future ones to come. Currently, they are only available for about 40 of our RealDrums.

Each set of drum stems requires editing and processing so the stems match the previously released RealDrums stereo mix. The previously released RealDrums stereo mix were edited from drum recording sessions that may have lasted for hours so it takes time to construct the stems. PG Music has implied additional drum stems will be released.
When you run a PG Music install file there usually is a text box that displays the content of the install file.
I copied the drum stem list below from the 2022 bonus 0PAK text box.

Great, thanks for confirming the list, Jim! Only PGM can say what their intentions are or whether they recorded the old RealDrums with enough separation and are prepared to put in the time to do it as you point out. Mostly, I get the feeling they concentrate on new features and Gigabytes of content to get sales rather than fixing old stuff. A case in point being the amateurish programming of Drum Shots and Holds (a Tish or a Boom or a Thwack instead of HH, BD & SD all hitting together) which has been an outstanding bug for about a decade now. I say this every year. Unless it's been fixed this time around? Anyway, sorry to be harsh but I've bought the upgrade every year, find the program incredibly useful but would rather the basics were fixed so that the 10% of features I actually have time to use worked properly. M

I don't think your comment is harsh. But I do think the complaint about drum shots is buried so deep in the thread PG Music may not ever see it.
It's better to present each opinion in it's own thread. That way PG Music will get a pretty good idea from the subject heading. It will also give other users the opportunity to make comments specific to the opinion.
Of course, this is just my opinion.
I hope my drum stem listing will help you decide the 2022 upgrade is worth purchasing.

It's better to present each opinion in it's own thread. That way PG Music will get a pretty good idea from the subject heading. It will also give other users the opportunity to make comments specific to the opinion.

I hope my drum stem listing will help you decide the 2022 upgrade is worth purchasing. Thanks Jim, I'll most likely get the upgrade for other reasons, maybe not the $49 PAK as I usually pass on that. PGM are aware of the Drum Shots problem and with their programming expertise I'm sure they can fix it with all the possible variations if they wanted to. It's unbelievably amateurish and I can't be bothered to mention it again - there are extensive threads from previous years. Instead we are all reliant on going into our DAWs and manually layering the correct parts of the kit. PITA. M
