Hi I've been using BiaB For many years.
I feel it's time for a Complete upgrade of the notating system.
Something like museScore or guitar pro.
I use BB When I do solo gigs

Welcome to the forum.
BIAB notation has remained mostly the same for many years, although in 2021 the support for cut time was added. What specifically would you like to see, especially since a BIAB song can be sent to the free Musescore 3 program that specializes in music notation? Are you reading from the Leadsheet Mode during a gig?

I use BB When I do solo gigs Yes! you're right, if BIAB can handle SMuFL notation like Dorico it can use my NorFonts food here: https://norfonts.maOr at least it should allow users to use 3rd party music fonts.

I would like BIAB to manage bars per line, bar length and lyrics / syllables dynamically.
Recognizing that multi-line lyrics may be an issue, the is usually no reason that a bar with a single full note needs to be the same size as one with a number of 8th notes. A bar with lyrics may need to be longer than one without, and lines without lyrics an be closer together than with with lyrics.
If you look at fake books, these characteristics are what make the lead sheet legible.
I think the last serious update - fake sheet - was 2004. PGM can't fix this, and I think they probably would have already done it if it was easy, then find a 3rd party program that will do it. It's about time to invest in the visible side of the program as much as the "real" functions
