I think the title says it all. Program knows the channel, so why cram all tracks to channel 1?
If you say it is to avoid conflict with legacy channels, just put an over ride tick box in the copy/ move dialogue.
And while we are at it, how about having the copy/ move dialogue retain last chosen settings? ‘‘Tis a pain to have to repeatedly re-select when you are moving multiple tracks off Melody.
Or, have the dialogue box remain open after moving a track until you deliberately close it so that you can continue to move the next track, etc? (later edit)
And if the Gods were really kind we could have a hot key shortcut to get right to the copy/ move dialogue!
