Here's an error I get every time I try to load another song.

Access violation at address 0089037D in module 'BBW.exe' ...

Is there a solution for this? Do others have the same problem?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I assume you've tried a reboot? Did it help?

Try a reboot then load a demo song from one of the demo folders. Does that help?

If no we need to know how are you running BiaB. From the USB HD? From your local HD? BiaB on local HD and RealTracks/Drums from another drive?

Also helpful is your system specs and sound card type.

I have b292 on my system and it works fine.

I get this occasionally when I'm loading up file after file then the piano part might stop some bars before the end while the rest of the parts are still playing . When I go to exit there is an access error message. I try to now from time to time to exit and then reload B&B to avoid the error. This seems to work.

It seems to me something to do with inadequate clearance of memory or some other parts of a previous load.(i.e insufficient "flushing" perhaps)-but that is pure speculation.

There is an issue with some Frozen songs that have Soloist track frozen. There'll be a patch for that within a week, but in the meantime un-freeze the soloist track. If the issue is with some other song, please email that song to beta@pgmusic.com

Thanks! Unfreezing solved my error, but the song is sounding different now. I still have the original track, so with this song I will wait for an official patch before to continue.

I get the same error in build 291 and now it continues into build 292. I have a totally up to date computer (Intel Dual Processor, 4GB RAM. 1 TB hard drive, 800 Mb front bus) and work in the computer field building these so I know it's not something where the hardware is lacking. It only seems to happen when I am working with some of my older songs from previous versions (2007 and 2008)

I use Reason 3, Acid Pro 6 and Sonar 8.5 and they all run flawlessly on my machine so it has to be something with BIAB 2010. Mostly in relation to whenever Real Instruments and Real Drums are introduced into the song.

Sometimes the song will just crash with the following error message "Access Violation at Address 006C3E99 in module bbw.exe write of address 00011110 at; 006C3E99"

Sometimes it's a message where it fails to recognize the ASIO driver from my M-Audio Fast Pro and even restarting doesn't do much.

I think that at this time although the update to BIAB 2010 is awesome, things are still at a very glitchy stage.

Hopefully some update patches will resolve these problems

I just upgraded to 2010 1/9 and am also having the "Access Violation..." error. Talked to a tech 3 different times today and they didn't really have any answers so i'm glad to see there'll be a patch soon. I just tried to open a tune that has NO frozen tracks and still got the message.

Norm,

A couple of thoughts spring to my mind.

Have you tried creating a new song that's just a 4-bar progression (of anything) in a midi-only style and saving that as a test file. Then re-open that test file and see what happens. If you are not sure of what midi-only styles are available, the quickest way to get one is choose one from the 24 in-built styles. (Top Menu: Styles >> 24 Built-in Styles). Sometimes, invoking all-midi has helped.

My second thought may or may not apply. Some problems that people have encountered have been due to running the upgrade from the USB drive without following the installation process that is detailed in the "ReadMe First.rtf" file located on the USB drive. I think that this is due to autorun taking over and creating the impression that the USB drive is all set to go.

Regards,
Noel
