Currently Im just experimenting and getting my hands wet with bb and realband. I composed a small tune and want to test it out in realband.
What is the best way to get a song ready for realband?
Is it just open the .sgu file?
I noticed though that the composition of muted instruments in certain bars does not take affect in realband.
Am I misssing something?
More questions to follow but Im reading the manual and getting more dizzy with each page. lol

Hi dfaris, Simply read the SGU file into RB. The muted bars are not read by Realband. I really like using RB as it gives me much greater control over individual sections of a track. The feature I like most is that I can regenerate selected bars rather than a whole track if I choose. While muted bars are not read into RB, this is very easily accommodated. - First of all, just copy the track you want to work on and mute the original track. This will allow you to have the original to get back to you if you want to start all over.
- Working on the copied track, select the bars you want mutes, and delete the sound (audio or midi).
I strongly encourage you to look at the RB video. It will show you lots of things to get started. It's HERE and is called "Introduction to Realband".

Just did some experimenting in RB.
I'll just open the .sgu file within rb and edit out the mute instruments.
I even recorded an audio track in biab exported it to rb and gave it some effects. I did the same with sonar, dd the whole song and it works perfectly.
Man this is getting so good!
I hope it doesnt start crashing on me again coz I will really feel a loss. lol

I haven't done this in a while but it seems to me that RB will recognize instruments that are rested in BIAB songs. Not as easy as using Bar Settings to Mute instruments here and there but preserves the original format of the song when imported to RB.
