I've been editing a simple melody in the notation editor, but when I come out of the editing mode into the normal mode, there's a surprising difference. The track plays as I had entered it in the editing mode so why is the normal mode so messed up?

Yes, looks the same with CLEAN on or off. The tooltip says the complex notation will still appear in EDITABLE mode (opposite!). And funny that it plays the edited image not the normal view!
