Currently Im just experimenting and getting my hands wet with bb and realband. I composed a small tune and want to test it out in realband.
What is the best way to get a song ready for realband?
Is it just open the .sgu file?
I noticed though that the composition of muted instruments in certain bars does not take affect in realband.
Am I misssing something?
More questions to follow but Im reading the manual and getting more dizzy with each page. lol
6 strings. 24 frets. An infinite amount of possibilities.

There is no best way since as you discovered the outcome is dependent on the way you do it, and there are multiple ways to do it, so multple outcomes. Just keep experimenting and you will find the way which works best for you.
Recently I tend to like the "..just open the .sgu file". This is not a problem since I don't try to do too much in BIAB before geiting into RB. You have to have a workflow for the things you do in BAIB and the things you do in RB. I use BAIB to set the overall form of the tune (intro, chorus repeats and outtro), and I set the key in BIAB and the style. Then in RB i audition the Realtracks and set the arrangement (who plays when). Then I move it all over into REAPER and record my own tracks.

Yes,
In BIAB export all tracks individually to wav/audio file, then import them into RB. Thats how i used to do it. 
Or open BIAB file in RB and also export the RTs from BIAB. Import RTs into RB. Then you will have it all.

Yeah I figured it out. Ive been playing with it and its so cool. I even dd the tracks to sonar and it all works great from there too. It keeps on getting better!
