Something strange is happening all of a sudden... I've recorded many melodies over the past, and basically in the process, it gives two measure count playing the last 2 measures of the composition and then you start recording your melody... I've never had a problem, has worked well...
The problem is now, when it plays the 2 meaures as a count it, it erases those 2 measures... Example... I start recording melody at measure 17... It starts playback from measure 15 as a two measure count in with the song, measures 15 & 16 already having a melody, then I start recording the next 8 measures of melody... When I play back, my 8 measures are there, but the melody in 15 & 16 have been erased... I like the 2 measure playback count in and I've never had a problem with this in years... I haven't changed any settings... Anybody know how to have biab stop erasing the 2 count in measures?? Any info appreciated, thanks...

Isn't there a box you check and uncheck to allow 2 bar lead ins?
I'm not at that computer now, but look in Opt Prefs then the box where you set the count in parameters.

Have a look at Opt. >> Preferences >> MIDI File and see if there is a check mark against “Include 2 bar lead-in in MIDI file”.

Didn't (I think it was) Silvertones report something to this effect regarding discrepancy between recording audio versus MIDI, and how they behaved differently. I'm just drawing a blank, but it seems we discussed this problem before; not sure what the final answer was.

Hello tradivoro,
You could select 'overdub underlying melody' in the Record Melody dialog. Is your controller sending any MIDI data during those 2 bars? You can find out by viewing the MIDI Monitor, and filtering it to only view 'computer MIDI input'.

Hi folks, thanks for your replies... Andrew, I'll look into that, but I haven't changed any settings it was working fine and then the next day it started to do this... I'll find out if there any data that's being sent before hand... John, I'll also check the to see if somehow the allow 2 bar lead in has been unchecked somehow...
