Black Crack in the Wall This is a song I originally posted exactly 2 years ago, 02/27/2020. The sad situation with Ukraine at the moment reminded me of it, it's is basically a protest song. Hope no one minds the repost. This version has Marty on bass, the version from 2020 used BIAB for the bass. Black Crack in the Wall (2020, Christiane Spruit)Wheels are turning

Excellent choice, Dave!! It's hard to pick a favorite BA song, but this one was so much fun to play --even had to put on the aggression and anger hat.

Killer - on every level.
The mix on this is Extraordinary!! EVERYTHING in the pocket.
Might be the best Bass sound yet. Really Punchy, A Solid Bottom, with no boom-i-ness. Perfect.
Drums are EXCELLENT (can you recall what drum kit you are using? and what MIDI library?)
An excellent write. Chris is at the top of her game here. Might be THE best Rock vocal I've heard on the forum. Exception.
Not sure it gets better than this.

Some believe that protest Rock music of early-mid 80s in a way attributed to collapse of USSR. Many Russian rockers were detained... In my opinion, protest music definitely changed and liberated mindset of young people. My heart bleeds seeing what is happening in Ukraine.

Great to hear that voice again.
Excellent mix and the addition of Marty's bass makes a solid difference.
A song easily extrapolated to consider Ukraine, Yemen, Palestine, Afghanistan, Sudan, Congo, Nigeria & Syria.
Of these current wars Afghanistan, Yemen and the Sudan/Ethiopia count more than 10,000 directly attributable deaths.
The Drug War in Mexico has a higher death count over the last 12 months than any of the above.

Thanks everyone for the comments  Floyd, I pulled up the project for for the song so I could check the drums for you. The kit I'm using I have labelled "DB-Basicmultidrums", I made tweaks to the basic kit but can't recall what I did. I have them split onto separate tracks in Reaper and have Neutron3 on the kick, Snare, HH, and Toms. I am using an add on midi pack from Toontrack called American Rock, patterns are Midtempo->Power Thing
