hey...
Running 2022 B-i-a-B. Every so often...when I attempt to load a Soloist or Style...the RealTrack will display blue (as opposed to green). [or...it will just give me the MIDI version (yellow)] One of the Styles that will not load fully is =TEALSEA; & one of the Soloists that will not load is 3339:Piano.
I installed the February 3rd Windows patch, but that didn't work.
what now?

Hi,
=tealsea is a MIDI Super Track (MST) style. Those two tracks that you see in blue are the MIDI Supertracks. They are not Realtracks. The number "3339" refers to the MST number.
Just in case you haven't come across this before...
With it's styles, PG Music use an '=' sign at the start of a style to indicate that this particular style is a mixture of MIDI and Realtracks.
Also... Styles that begin M_ are MIDI styles that include MIDI Super Tracks.
There's a Jeff Lorber RT #3335 that is "fast fusion" at a tempo of 150 bpm. The MIDI Super Track may have been developed from this. It would be worth trying it out and seeing how it compares.

Hi doxology, Noel96 is correct that blue tracks are MIDI SuperTracks. Also, if the RealTrack was missing, it would still display as green in the mixer, but it would have an N/A shown in its long name. Since you have the Audiophile Edition in your forum signature, you should not have any N/A RealTracks, but if you do, please feel free to contact us directly and we can help you troubleshoot that. hey...
1st of all...this forum keeps giving me fits by for some reason not recognizing my password for the doxology account...so I re-registered. I AM the original poster of this thread.
2) I understand what everybody is saying (& thank you for it), but Super Track or not...it's not loading again today. It's giving me the message that *sforzando is not installed*; & then loads a MIDI Track in it's place. So...something is still not right.

Hi,
Many of the MIDI Supertracks in styles are programmed to use one of the "HiQ instrument" by default since they usually sound better than the Coyote WT instruments.
There are two components that need to be installed for the HiQ instruments to work, both of which are installed by default, but may not be installed/properly for whatever reason.
One is the HiQ Instrument sample bank (look for an installer file hiq_instruments_sforzando.exe, that is separate from the main BIAB installer).
The other is the Sforzando plugin which is used to play the samples. You can find an installer for this in the bb folder ( \bb\data\installers\sforzando_v1.933.exe )

thanx. I run B-i-a-B from the external hard drive you sent me, so I just did a search in Audiophile (E) & found the 1st of the 2 (hiq_instruments_sforzando.exe)...but it wants to install it on my PC's main/Windows drive (C). Is that correct?...shouldn't it be installed on the external (E) drive?

Yes, the default location is "C:\Program Files\PG Music Inc\Band-in-a-Box Sounds". I suggest installing it there.
