I bought a Lenova Yoga computer, downloaded BIAB2022Ultra+ and transferred my song files from the old computer. When I pull up a song file to play it, it only plays MIDI, no Real Tracks. I know I should go to default apps by file type, but there is no file type listed for SGU, MGU or any other BIAB files. Does anybody know how to fix this?

I think that's probably not a file-association problem as RealTracks are WMA files, not SGU/MGU.
Are your paths set correctly to point to the RealTrack and Drums folders? Have you rebuilt the Styles database?
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful. AVL:MXE Linux; Windows 11 BIAB2025 Audiophile, a bunch of other software. Kawai MP6, Ui24R, Focusrite Saffire Pro40 and Scarletts .
I concur with Gordon’s advice. This is not a Windows file extension association problem.
Where the RealTracks are depends on which of the options you chose when you installed BIAB. Then the remedy is to choose the path in Options, Preferences, RealTracks.

When you downloaded and installed your UltraPAK+, did you use the new Download Manager specifically? If so, if this was an upgrade package there's a little "Upgrade" checkbox that is checked by default once you plug in your download link from the clipboard into the Download Manager. When left checked, it will only download and install the newest content for your package. On a new machine with no prior version of Band-in-a-Box installed, you'd want to uncheck this checkbox in order to get the full package contents. If this is the method you used, you can easily discover this by one of two methods:
In Band-in-a-Box go to Help | What Add-Ons Do I Have and check your RealTracks and Drums under NOT Found. An UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, and Audiophile will have all the currently available RealTracks and Drums, so if any are missing, there's a good chance they weren't installed which is why you'd be getting only MIDI as the default.
OR
Locate your BB folder on the drive you installed your full program to, right click on it, and go to "properties". It will calculate the folder size for you. If it's anything less that ~150GB, there's a good chance your RealTracks and Drums have not been installed. If it's only a dozen or so off, using the What Add-Ons section to pinpoint what's missing makes it super easy to know which sets need to be reinstalled. If it's way off, best to just reinstall. The only time this won't be the case is if you actively have done a split install.
Hopefully that's all it is, and if it is, installing the rest of your RealTracks will fix the problem and then you'll be soaring!
If that's not the issue, let us know, we'll do our best to assist and find out what the issue is.
OK, thanks for the reply. On further investigation, I found that the download manager only installed the 2022 Ultra+ files. Apparently, I need to go back and reload my 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2021 files before installing 2022. Question is: Does the download manager only work with 2022 version or must I revert to the old download manager in the help menu for the others? If it is supposed to work with the earlier versions, how do I access them. I have all the product keys that are noted in the accounts section.

Hello again! No, you wouldn't need to do this. You would just need to uncheck the box I mentioned. Here's a screenshot that shows what I mean:
Also, check under help > What Add-Ons Do I have?...
Check for items in the sections that show RealTracks and RealDrums NOT FOUND
Further to this, at the beginning of the RealTracks Not Found box, it would say the folder path that the program is searching in for your RealTracks. For example in mine the RealTracks are installed to D:\bb\RealTracks. If there are any missing RealTracks and the paths are correct then reference the numbers listed in this box to know which Sets should be re-installed.
