The verse and bridge are excellent
For the chorus I would add a distorted rhythm guitar
But that's a matter of taste

Good narrative and the vocal performance is cool.
There does need to be some arrangement switch to lift the chorus...whether it be a pulled back pre chorus, a surprise instrument or a key change.

Nice write! Catchy song, solid chorus.
I'm with [b]rayc[/i] - it would be nice of the instrumentation changed a bit more one the chorus, to frame it a bit more.
I enjoyed the listen.

A very nice song, good performance and strong lyrics and vocals!
But I can agree with Ray. I think your song can use some 'surprises', although I also enjoyed it the way it is.
So, to use the title of Marty Straubs' song; now you have 'mixed signals'

Love the vocal, and this is a well written song, Dewey. I agree with What It Needs is a bit more dynamics, although your vocal shines with dynamics. Love the hook. Lyrics are excellent.

I really liked the prechorus, and I was surprised it only appeared once. Not only it a good lead in to the chorus, but it puts in a slight change of feel. Nice work!
