Hi, as I always play my guitar tuned to 432 Hz, I want to ask for a possibility to fine tune BB 8 Hertz down. That would be great.

Hello and welcome to the forums Blaulichtschutz!

I will pass this request on to our development team and see if they can add this to a future version of Band-in-a-Box.

Although this will not impact me I can see where others may want or need to change from 440 Hz. If this were to be implemented I would like to set the Hz to any amount and not have it only 440 Hz or 432 Hz because some pianos are tuned above 440 Hz.

So +1 for setting the Hz to settings other than just 440 Hz.

If this gets implemented I would like to see 442 as the upper range. My flute, for example, can be tuned that high to match whatever you throw at it. Some orchestras tune to A=442. Some percussion instruments are made at 442. Even the organ at the church where I play is at 441 (I don't know why). The point is, 440 is not the highest pitch encountered.

Yes our piano tuner has my wife's piano tuned to 432 Hz because of its age. it is over 100 years old.

He also tunes the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra's piano which he says is tuned to 442 Hz.

Thus a few Hz on either side of 440 Hz is the ideal change if such change can be made.

Interesting idea. A master tuning setting (semitones and cents) could be useful for sure.

hi I started using BB in the llast few days. Finding the playback a little irritating and immediately wondered about dropping the hertz to 432. something about the sound is a little disconcerting, would love to see the option for this too.

A "work around" I have found for alternate reference tone play back (yes I like A432) but it involves a 2nd computer. I send the mix out spdif to another computer with a reaper channel with "reapitch" plugin. Set it to -32 cents and "voila" all tracks pitched down 8 cycles to 432 (or whatever reference you like).

This should work using "rearoute" with in one system but I haven't been able to get that to work ..yet!

It would still be great if this was a native feature inside BIAB.

This was a very handy tip! Thank you, Paul! I actually did this by just loading Band in a Box as a VST into reaper and then added the ReaPitch plugin with the -32 cents (I tried -31.77 cents but the tool ReaPitch rounded it to -32) setting (ReaPitch loaded below BiaB in the plugin list). That way there was no need for any fancy routing of the audio.
