This is SUPERB! What a melody, how beautifully played. Made me listen from the first note. Loved the surprise change of arrangement, around 1:20 or so, and its return at around 2:10. Just one thing: this didn't make sleep, quite the opposite :-) A serious "well done" to you.

Scott,

Beautiful song and melody! Love all the little touches you added! The guitar sounds great as always! The uptick in tempo caught me off-guard but was a nice addition! Enjoyed it!

Thanks, Torrey

Wow!

This is really lovely and it's amazing how great your playing works over that train beat.
Excellent choice of tracks for you to play over.

Great melodic playing Scott! And a fine mix to ice it all!

Great tone as always, Scott, and you always come up with a great melody.
Nice changeup in the middle!
Love the bit at the end, was that a whammy pedal?

Love that melody, Scott. What a great touch on that guitar. I like how at around 1:22 your nap turns into a dream where there is frolic for a time, and just like dreams it switches back to the calm clouds. Well done, Scott!

Enjoy whatever happens!

Starts with a very smooth mood and then surprisingly turns into a faster drive, keeping the happy smiling vibe all the time. Lovely melody, beautiful chording, enjoyable playing and the instrument selection is pleasant for napping, the synth at the end is nice. If I ever have sleeping troubles, I'll try this song to calm my mind smile

Hi Scott,

We certainly didn't fall asleep while listening to this one.
But... it gets you in the mood to do so.
Beautiful music!

Thanks Torrey. Had a bit of a creative streak at the beginning of the year. The new BIAB styles from 2022 really added some inspiration.

Glad you liked the song.

I'm looking forward to retirement, so I can take my daily afternoon nap.

Quite nice melody. Smoothly played.

Does that change at 1:24 represent the slipping into REM sleep when one naps too long? eek

Very nice. I realize I'm a little late to chime in, but I echo what everyone is saying here. Great piece. Loved the surprise in the middle and the tone on your guitar is fantastic.

Hello Scott,

As I wrote on your SoundCloud page: this is really you!
A very nice song with that so familiar sound of your guitar.
The 'surprise in the middle'as Brad said, was indeed a surprise!
The other rhythm there acted like a wake-up call from my nap...

Good work, as always,
Hans

No the outro was not a whammy. The Helix has an effect called the Ampeg Liquifier. It is a very creamy chorus effect. Very cool effect with some delay..

Really pretty playing and mix Scott. Cool tempo changes in the arrangement too.

Sometimes I nod off for a few minutes when I'm watching Jeopardy with my husband in the late afternoon. I don't sleep too long. For me 15 - 30 minutes max is the sweet spot.
