9748 is the total number of PG Music styles as of July 2022. If you have fewer styles than that, you can see which ones you are missing by doing this:
1. Open StylePicker, do a fast rebuild.
2. Click on the Other drop-down –> Show styles that are found/not found –> Only show N/A.
3. Now you can see which PG Music styles are missing, and sorting by Set# should make it clear what's going on.

Mine came out correctly. I had to make sure that I had ALL styles listed. (I rarely use midi.)

I believe PG Music stated in the past The higher number reported in the yellow message box, 10,120 in your case, is a gross reporting number of the total number of styles found. Some styles are reported multiple times because duplicates reside in multiple sub folders. 9,748 is a net number where each style is counted and listed one time.

If I count the number of *.STY files in BB, I get 11,038 (this is including sub-folders)
If I count the number of *.STY files that are only in the \BB\Styles\ folder I get 10,101

I get it now but am wondering still WHY it showed 9748 BEFORE I did the Rebuild to incorporate my 2 new DLs but is a bit irrelevnt I guess.
BTW - no N/As. Full House. Lol.

OK, that identifies my 9394 rather than 9748, as I don't have the LoopsPAKs or the XProPAKs. (total 401) and I have some Norton styles that appear in the list and the count, which almost certainly accounts for the disparity. As usual I find the whole lot of this plethora of bundles and PAKs confusing. What's included when and where. Making an extended version of this table: https://www.pgmusic.com/bbwin.packages.htmto show that detail would make things much clearer. Incidentally, why is the OmniPAK not included in that list? It's just another package, isn't it?

I guess you don't have to listen to the 10,000 styles to know everything about them or to find the one you want.
There are lots of filters to achieve that.
The important thing if that you have a large range of required styles to select from. Extraordinary versatility.

Out of interest I tried checking if I have everything. The "What add-ons do I have?" option showed that I have everything installed, but when I tried the missing option I found that I had 62 styles from various paks missing. I reinstalled the 2022 bonuspaks 0 & 49 and most of the missing bonus styles reappeared. I downloaded the installation files of the other missing styles and regained all the known pgmusic stles bar one - namely _paloma.sty which is in Set #83 Midi. I cannot find an installer which has this style. Does anyone know which installer will retrieve this?
I searched my hard drive BIAB 2022 version and did not find that style on it either. So where is it??

I have found it. It exists as PALOMA (no underscore) in 82 MIDI

It's installed in \bb\Styles\ on my system, file date: June 03, 2020. Size: 36.1kb. I suspect you may need to reinstall the Bonus Pak?

I did reinstall the Bonus Pak but the stylepicker still showed it as missing even though the entries appeared with the reinstall. When I deleted the _PALOMA.stx file the entry in stylepicker disappeared. Go figure!!
Anyway it appears that I do have all the styles.

I wonder if you can advise where the initial figure of 10120 styles comes from? This would be just from a log written while processing the styles. There are many styles that are not full styles, only helpers or substyles that work with another style. There are other miscellaneous files that are duplicates and are only present for backwards compatibility, so it isn't surprising to see a number in the logs that is higher than the total number of styles displayed in the StylePicker.
