Beautiful backing band and the sad melody set the mood that matches with the gloomy lyrics, drowning in the rain in the heart - touching metaphor. The piano and the trumpet are especially nice and the sax fits perfectly also. Excellent emotional vocals.

Greg, something a little different from you, and in it you've demonstrated a significantly higher level of versatility.
This is class, from start to finish. Just so much to like about everything in this composition. Your vocals are outstanding.

I like the sparse arrangement and the atmosphere it creates.
But what really sells the song is your voice and the way you use it.

Beautiful song, sung very well by Earl.
Great voice.
But if you see the video on YouTube, you might think the song is completely Earl's.
