I want to get in early this year, well before Christmas.
I sing a lot of Classical Crossover and Opera as well as Irish and Celtic Ballads, also Traditional and Contemporary Folk music.
I get frustrated at the String tracks, very little contrapuntal / counterpoint going on in the string sections. Very mechanical and not very much feeling. The Cello can be more inspirational and the violin, although less so has its uses.
I think users may agree that More String, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion would take BB to another level. Also, Ethnic instruments might also be on the probable list.
What say you all?
Mal.

I wonder how 'INTELLIGENT' a software developer, who has a good grasp of music, could improve the generator for Midi tracks. Can emotion play a part? I know we have some control on how the midi is generated like key, form etc but imagine if feeling/emotion, drama, variation, mood could be controlled too.
One day we will be able to use BB to produce instant hits.

MAL :-) Actually Mel you can do those things BUT you have to have a good MIDI sound source, not GM, that will respond to Continuous Controlers, i.e. CCs. Once I get the chord progression and a style that I like I leave BiaB and go to my DAW. There I have complete control over my MIDI tracks.

@MarioD
I kind of do that to. Still using the Axiom Pro 61 after quite a few years. Some controllers are a real PIA and take forever to understand. Switched from Cubase to Nuendo, seems more Pro.
It's a critical point in time for BB. We really can't just throw out more and more RT's with slight differentiation in style, as we now have so many styles to choose from. Making things so complex that it renders ones brain numb.
I'd like more leaning on midi because of the wealth of VST's that can be used to render a sound that is breathtaking these days. Some tracks out there are amazing, most though are sterile.The music industry needs a huge revolution. We just aren't making MUSIC anymore. When I listen to Artists like Celtic Woman, or Classical Crossover Artists, such as Sarah Brightman, Hayley Westenra. The backings are breathtaking and I understand how this can make an Artist step up and transcend their vocal to an even higher emotive level than you'd expect. Popular music needs redifining because what I listen to certainly is not Pop as I knew it back in the 60's, 70's and maybe 80's.

as an ex choir boy i would like more choirs in various genres including pop and rock.
i find also currently the bgv 'ooohs' and 'aaahs' seem mainly for slow tempo songs. would like more bgv scatting etc i could use on fast tempo pop and rock.
