I've dug out and installed my old Cool Edit Pro 2 ( for fun )and want to try some of my VST plugins in the program.
Many moons ago there was the Cakewalk VST Adapter which was like a DX VST Wrapper to allow using VST in a DX program.
The question is it still available or are there other ways to use VST in the DX program.

I'm reasonably sure Sonar's VST wrapper is not available from Cakewalk by Bandlab. Did you ever have an online Sonar account? +++ Click HERE +++ If you have an online Sonar account but do not remember your account name or password, you can contact Bandlab Support to help retrieve your information.

I’m a big fan of Cool Edit Pro. I still use Adobe Audition, its bloated successor. Version 3 seems to hit the midpoint between stability and bloat. I sometimes use version 1.5 when ASIO gets in the way. Adobe CC, I dropped.
But can you still run Cool Edit Pro 1.5 in Windows 10 or 11? Just curious.

I think it should work. I still use Adobe Audition V1.5 here for various tasks running on Windows 10, and AFAIK that first version from Adobe was just a rebranded version of Cool Edit Pro V1.5.

Also, if it didn't launch correctly, you may be able to set it to run as an older version of Windows from the launch shortcut.
