Glad you were able to save this one before leaving it on the shelf too long! I certainly know how it feels to let a neglected tune slip away from memory! It's a lovely sounding lighter feeling tune! You did an excellent job all around on it, especially with the synth voice!

What a delightful duet this is!
You and Solaria make a great team.
We’re glad you took this down from the shelf. It is quite witty and the African beat sounds so “happy” that you had us both smiling.
And it’s all wrapped up in a fine mix too.

Hi Janne, Well, first of all I'm happy you decided to release this one! What a fantastic groove, just love the rhythm. Wonderful sounding mix. But, best of all, I love the lyrics! Really well written, very clever, and very funny! Very much enjoyed this one. I'm too old to party too BTW

Ohhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooo! I do not want to hear that message! Just kidding. A very funny song with a lot of great lines. The happy African rhythms were perfect for this kind of song. Great work with the synth voice. A lot of fun listening to this! Thanks TM for your positive words Glad you found great lines and fun in the lyrics. I agree that African rhythms are happy and makes you want to dance, I just wish I could have been able to write a vocal choir in African style also, like Paul Simon did on Homeless. Janne

That is one funny tune. Very good effort of using vocal synth! Unusual and interesting Afro flavor. And to me this answers your question. In my view, there is a very special beauty in all non standard approaches to music. It is like seeing a coconut palm tree growing in Helsinki, makes you wonder. Thank you for sharing.

Definitely a fun song.
The melody you wrote for Solaria is fantastic. I little tidying of the unison vocal timing is my only suggestion.

Fun, upbeat and funny lyrics. And it sounds awesome through my headphones. The keys coming in at the chorus gives a nice lift. And the flutes were a real treat. I love the contrast between the two voices, as well as the call and response. You two sound good together!  The definitely shouldn't be on the shelf! Seriously; a very nice tropical song! And I very much like your duet with the AI lady. I just wrote David that I was thinking about trying that one day.

I had some hope though you would have used a steelband in your song (in the chorusses for instance).
Nevertheless, a very funny entertaining song!

I wonder whether there is a similar African instrument (I guess it was brought to the Caribbean by enslaved African so in that sense it could be logical). Janne

Your lyrics are always interesting. And, in this case, with a sense of humor.
You and Solaria do a good job on vocals. You sound good together.
I like that you "experiment" with tracks.
Percussion is cool. (I thought it could have used some more variance along the way).
Enjoyed the listen.

This must be the absolute most funniest songs I've ever heard. No offense to Lawrence Welk and the Geritol commercials, but they can't hold a candle to this. You are one creative dude ! A fun listen. Really lovely use of Solaria and she blends nicely with you.
A really interesting percussion bed drives the song and an amusing lyric is quite evocative.

It's a very unusual genre for your song.
Very strange rhythm.
I'm sorry that I'm not familiar with African music.
The duet fits perfectly.
The vocal synth is really nice.
Please also post such a fun song from time to time.
