Was thinking of buying latest BIAB Hard Drive media for W10 Noob here......does the prog BIAB stay on the HD and plug said HD into PC to use prog? Can I use the HD in BOTH my laptop AND PC? IIR the old BIAB I had would only allow the prog to be registered and used in one PC Thanks Guys

There is an installation program that installs some files onto your PC and the bulk of the data can run from the external hard drive (the RealTracks, RealDrums etc) if you wish.
You also have the option to copy everything from the removable hard drive to your computer.
My understanding is that you can install the program on up to three of your own computers.

I have the download version of the Ultra Pak, but I have 100% of it installed on my external TB3 samples drive, even the program executables. I don't know how the HD delivered by PG Music is configured, but if it is just a mirror of the normal C: drive install, then you could just run from that drive. A caveat would be the speed of the HD they send you and if it is a hard drive or an SSD. My 2TB samples drive is Thunderbolt 3 SSD that transfers data at 40x a 7500 RPM hard drive. My other 2 external 2 TB drives are USB 3.2 that transfer data at 9x the speed of a 7500 RPM hard drive. The READ speed is the critical spec. The WRITE speed can be whatever. The only time you write to it is updates and add-on PAKs.

The license agreement states you may install Band-in-a-Box to one computer at a time. However, we understand that customers often have multiple computers. In view of this, you may activate your Band-in-a-Box on up to three of your own computers/drives as long as they are not being used simultaneously. When one computer has Band-in-a-Box open, the other computers must have the program closed.
If you are changing computers entirely (and plan to not use the old computer), please de-activate your Band-in-a-Box on the old computer first before uninstalling. This is found under the Help menu of Band-in-a-Box.
