Just noticed this today. Regardless of the song I load, be it frozen or not, after I click play and then exit the program, it asks me every time if I want to save the song or not because it has changed.
Nothing was done by me on any of the songs. Loaded 15 songs and each time when I exit I get the prompt to save because it has changed.
Happens on both the desktop and the laptop

Anyone else seeing this?

Happens to me as well. I noticed: when frozen and you do NOT play the song and exit BB, there is no prompt to save. Starting BB again and loading the frozen SGU AND you play the song, an asterix appears in front of the song name. Then you get the prompt when you exit BB to save changes even though nothing changed. Appears that BB considers playing a song a change?

I think this was introduced to address the issue of people losing their edits by exiting without saving. The solution is therefore to impose an additional click on everyone. You also noticed the autosave, as in word, which just happened. If that's the case then let's just hope they make it an option. This would p*** me right off.

So after 20+ years of using BIAB and forking over a few thousand dollars over the years, I now have the privilege of clicking an extra time every time I close out BIAB.
Tell me this doesn't look like a Government operation.

Saving when you have not done anything continues change the file date. So you never know when the file was actually created the first time or the last time it was changed. Not a good practice.

So, as I pointed out, just playing a song prompts the save dialog ... PG could get rid of that - that's a reasonable request.

I agree that there has been a change to the way this works. I can load a song that has had all tracks frozen, press Play, and then it requests if I want to save when loading another song. I'll report it.

This seems to be a regression of an old bug fixed years ago. I suspect the new "autosave" feature (wich, by the way, is also not working correctly here, but this is another story) has reintroduced it.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

It's a change that is really not welcomed. I am always using BIAB during the day, every day and I probably close out the program or choose a new song 10-15 times a day.
Clicking each and every time is really something that I just do not want to do going forward.
