I currently have the 2022 UltraPak and intend upgrading to 2023.
There are two possibilities, the 2023 UltraPak Upgrade at $149 or the PlusPak at $99. Are there any Midi updates included in the 2023 UltraPak upgrade as the PlusPak does not mention Midi?
Watching, as I've assumed for the past few years that PlusPak provides all new content for whatever UltraPak from 2022 one has. So I've never been clear as to what the $149 ugrade provides that the $99 one doesn't. I bought Ultrapak in 2020 and have done the PlusPak upgrade the last three years. According to the "What Band In A Box Add-ons do I have" popup under help, I have all MIDI Supertracks and MIDI styles that have been released to date. (I definitely see the new 2023 MIDI Supertracks in the "found" lists.

Maybe the updated midi content is part of the 2023 main program update. Like you I don't understand why there are two upgrade options offering the same content, one at $149 and one at $99, both require you to have the 2022 UltraPak version to qualify?
The UltraPAK includes all the UltraPAK package content released in past years and this year. The PlusPAK includes only package content that is new this year.
If all your content from past years is in good shape then the PlusPAK should work. If you missed updating every year or otherwise have content corrupted or missing then the UltraPAK is for you.
If you want hard copy in addition to download from your account the UltraPAK ships on an external hard drive while the PlusPAK ships on memory stick or DVD/CD.
I'm pretty sure my 2022 UltraPack is up to date so I'll probably go with the PlusPak. You have now helped me realise the price difference, the UltraPak upgrade gives you access to missing or corrupt files.
