I’m trying to figure out how to switch the drum groove to half-time for a section of the song, and then return it to the original groove. I’ve tried going into bar settings and into the drum dialog there, but that didn’t seem to change anything. Any thoughts?

Hi Ron,
What I'd try is to put the drums on two tracks. Then set one of those tracks to half-time. After that, I would organise each track's 'mute' and 'normal volume' to take the normal drums out of playback and bring the half-time drums in (and vice versa).
Note... if you are using Utility tracks, you will need to use the Audio Editor to volume-control the tracks. Otherwise, if you are using BIAB legacy tracks, Bar Settings will do the job for you.
