Good for Fogerty, well deserved. Persistence in this instance paid off, albeit with some headaches and heartbreaks along the way.

He did buy the publishing rights, let's be clear about that. He regained his songwriter mechanicals a number of years ago in a new deal after after Zaenz died. In addition, his ASCAP and later, BMI royalties were never affected (I think he's GMR now).
I got to hear him sing six Credence songs just last month in San Francisco. One of them, Susie Q, was not one of his songs. He looked sounded pretty good.
