Just goes to show that journalists still: "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story".

Actually, the folks 1000km plus north of where I live are the ones in trouble. I believe the extent of flooding in Queensland is greater in area than the state of New South Wales which is where I live.

As a result there would certainly be snakes floating around, along with crocodiles in some areas (the salt water croc. is one mean critter... makes your average gator look tame) and lots of other beasties. We've desperatly needed the rain for over 2 decades but now, as usual when we finally get it, we have too much.
