Now if you want a vocalist that's a real genius with his vocal instrument check out youtube for Bobby McFarin. Genius. His father was an opera singer, I think the first regular african-american (whatever it's called these days..) at the Met. His Mom was a singer too.

Quite the lad they raised. I read somewhere he could play a couple of tunes on the piano and auditioned to play the grand at a big hotel. They hired him and he memorized a song a day to get enough repertoire to play.

He has conducted orchestras like the London Philharmonic and the Boston Pops. A very talented guy.
