Larry wasn't too far away. Option-3 puts a # , but only when you're working in a word processor.
In BIAB if you're looking to enter A7#9, on a mac keyboard, the sequence is : a 7 3 9
Hitting the 3 on the mac keyboard, in BIAB, directly enters a #
Or A7#5#9, the sequence will be ; a 7 3 5 3 9
You get the chord builder in the right click menu or ctrl+click (if you don't use the right and left mouse clicks)
