When I log into this forum the it would be safe to assume that the software running this thing knows what forum I had just selected before finding out that the forum doesn't remember me, yet again. So I go to fear and loathing central to log in, but does the software give a damn what screen I just left. Apparently not. I'm left sitting here looking at stuff I don't want to know. Instead of returning to the page I was in. That's a line of code with probably less than 20 characters in it.
And that's just a lovely way to start trying to find why four times in an hour today and everyday since a few days after I installed audio FILE version[ think 10 inch bastard] when I click just about any button I get access violation with something about bbw exe. and a bunch of numbers TS does not want to know about if you start reading them over the phone. This company made a money decision to suck up to the windoze money pool. The TS people ought to know something about this kreeepy platform. A good example would be: almost an hour on the phone trying to figure out why all real tracks have static-like distortion, it's somewhat different from digital distortion or clipping as it sounds more analog. [ like rubbing a battery across speaker terminals] after some very thorough examination of EVERYTHING, I was told my mb is dying or dead as far as audio is concerned or that my audio interface is dying or dead after going thru every possible thing in XP32 and biab and maudio ad tedium. I very much appreciated the guy taking the time and he was helpful in the extreme, friendly and totally professional. Thank You for that sincerely. These guys and ladies do a very good job at a tough task. I took my pc and interface to a musician who works in pc platforms all the time. He had it about an hour and found ONE of the problems. THE MONITOR RESOLUTION??? It's a 2.8 Ghz dual amd processor that idles when playing or loading four instrument real tracks. But change to 1024 by 768 and the distortion goes away. I admit I would not have considered that. He's spent his time in pc hell. Even he choked on PG knowledge bass or what ever it is called.
Now this access violation crap is swirling this app. into the white porcelain hole of DOS doo doo. I warned the guy when he said Oh we'll just look that up. He hasn't visited your Knowledge?? center. There must have been a thousand lines of questions on that page. WHo in his right mind would go Oh ok I'll just scan that shit for two hours instead of doing what I bought this stuff to do. MAKE MUSIC. PRACTICE! not dick around in dos ofal. What would be so hard about a real search function? But please not the engine used in your HELP????????????? Really? It finds every banal instance of every word in the string never once recognizing it as a complete phrase or thought. Quotes? it just laughs and shows me every email that mentions each of the string words.
There is a question in here somewhere, why can't I find the two files below anywhere in the first level of Biab's terabyte wonder klunk, or in the folders I opened to look in the second level. This terabyte drive acts like the actual nuts and bolts are a state secret. Where is Interface.bbw. and let's not forget MySetup.DK? Instead of telling people to delete these files why not find out what corrupts them and fix it? I don't know who PG thinks uses this software but I can't think of anyone who would put up with much of this kind of performance in the middle of a music project or practice session. So sorry for my bad attitude, but I got it the hard way I earned it with a bunch of money very little product so far.
