Hallo,
schon gesehen? Die neuen 2009er Versionen von BiaB und RealBand sind raus. Dazu noch 19 neue RealTracks in 3 Sets. Eins davon gibts beim Holiday-Special als Gratisbonus. Die Demos hören sich sehr gut an.
Ich schau mir gerade die Liste der neuen Features an. Vor allem bei Realband schient sich vieles getan zu haben. Die neue komplexe Loop-Funktion für Aufnahmen z.B. sieht nett und nützlich aus.
Bevor ich nun entscheide ob, wann und welches Set ich bestelle, mal eine Frage die Forumsgemeinde:
Das Update auf das Ultra-Pak für 129$ (=ca. 100€) auf 80GB-Harddisk scheint besonders attraktiv.
Nun wird ja beim Softwarekauf in den USA bzw. Canada und Versand nach Deutschland kein Zoll fällig. Wie steht es denn mit dem Zoll, wenn nun eine Festplatte, also Hardware, im Paket ist? Wird dann was fällig und wie hoch wäre das? Kennt sich jemand da aus?

Moin Ralf,
in ein paar Tagen kann ich dir mehr dazu sagen, da ich mir das Ultra-Pak auf Platte bestellt habe. Grundsätzlich sind aber immer Zoll und Einfuhrumsatzsteuer fällig, egal ob Soft- oder Hardware. Da PG Music den Wert der Software bislang immer mit 1$ deklariert hatte, fielen die Abgaben wohl wegen Geringfügigkeit unter den Tisch.
Etwaige Abgaben für BiaB 2009 werden sich aber in Grenzen halten, da PG sicherlich höchstens den Materialwert der Disk deklarieren wird und zudem die Gebührengrenzen für die Einfuhr heuer angehoben wurden - Zollpflicht erst ab - soweit ich mich erinnere - ca. 150€. Bliebe nur noch die Einfuhrumsatzsteuer, wenn überhaupt ...

Hier noch was aus den FAQ von zoll.de:
22 Euro
Sendungen mit geringem Wert:
Keine Einfuhrabgaben werden erhoben, wenn der Gesamtwert je Sendung 22 Euro nicht übersteigt.
Mit Wirkung vom 1. Dezember 2008 erhöht sich die Höchstgrenze für die zollfreie Einfuhr von Kleinsendungen auf 150 Euro je Sendung, für die Einfuhrumsatzsteuer bleibt es bei der bisherigen Wertgrenze von 22 Euro.

Hallo Alex,
danke! Die Anhebung der Freigrenze auf 150€ kommt ja gerade recht.
Schreib mal hier im Forum, wenn die Festplatte mit dem UltraPak da ist. Mich würde vor allem interessieren, wie die Pre-Installation aussieht. Also Ordnerstrukturen, ob die Installtionsdateien noch separat dabei sind usw.
Hintergrund: Ich habe ja ein ziemliches Sammelsurium seit BiaB 2004 auf meiner Platte. Im Prinzip ist das der UltraPak-Umfang, aber durch die vielen Updateinstallationen ist doch manches durcheineinander geraden, doppelt vorhanden und ziemlich unstrukturiert. Zumal ich auch mehrfach wegen der speicherintensiven Realtracks die HD-Partitionen getauscht habe.
Das neue UltraPak auf eigener Platte würde mir eine "frische" und korrekt installierte Fassung bringen.
Ich muss aber mal sehen, ob auch die älteren Sachen der Versionen 2004 ff., die hinterher teilweise wieder wegfielen, da zu integrieren sind und wie man das machen könnte. Sind ja in Summe mehrer zehntausend Files.

Moin Ralf,
im englischen Forum heißt es, dass die Software auf der Harddisk komplett vorinstaliert ist. Sie läuft direkt von HD, bzw. kann einfach auf den PC kopiert werden und von dort gestartet werden. Sehr komfortabel also ...
Da ich seit Ver. 8 regelmäßig update habe ich natürlich eine ganze Menge dieser "älteren Sachen". Es ist allerdings ausreichend die betreffenden Ordner zu sichern und später einfach wieder in die bestehende Struktur hineinzukopieren ...
Ich meld mich, sobald das Teil da ist. Bislang habe ich aber noch nicht mal die Versandbestätigung von PG ...

In diesem Kontext mal ne Frage an Ernst Leobacher:
Die deutsche BiaB-Übersetzung hängt nun schon seit Version 2008.5 hinterher. Für Realband ist erst gar keine verfügbar.
Wie sind denn die Übersetzungspläne für die Versionen 2009?

Keine Sorge, es wird übersetzt.
Das "Hinterherhinken" beim Übersetzen stimmt nicht ganz, bzw. hängt zumindest nicht von den Übersetzern ab.
Die Policy von PGMusic ist halt zuerst die Veröffentlichung der internationalen (englischen) Version, danach die Koordination der 15 Sprachen.
So wurde zB die 2008 Version bereits am 6.Jänner 2008 als E-Delivery Version mit deutschem Update-Handbuch versandt.
Aktuell sind von RealBand die Strings (Bildschirmanzeigen) übersetzt, das komplette Handbuch wird noch übersetzt.
Band-in-a-Box 2009 Deutsch wird wahrscheinlich ähnlich wie die Vorgängerversionen
um den Jahreswechsel bzw. im Jänner als E-Delivery Version mit deutschem Update-Handbuch fertig.
Sobald etwas spruchreif ist, werde ich dies hier im Forum bekanntgeben.

So, die Harddisk mit dem UltraPAK kam soeben per UPS ... - ich musste noch 6,02€ EU-Steuer nachzahlen ...
Das Teil ist unter XP (logischerweise) Plug and Play - eine Treiber CD für Win98 liegt auch bei. Die einzelnen Programme (BiaB, Real Band ...) sind fertig installiert und können direkt von Disk gestartet werden. Alternativ können die einzelnen Programmordner auch auf den PC kopiert werden und es liegen auch noch die Installationsdateien für die "klassische" Installation (nur BiaB, keine RealTraks) bei, warum auch immer ...
Das Filehandling kann komplett per Copy and Paste stattfinden - Fakebooks/Practices aus früheren BonusPAKs können einfach in das Programmverzeichnis kopiert werden und stehen dann zur Verfügung, bzw. werden erkannt.
Einzige Ausnahme ist das Verwenden der Harddisk mit einem "frischen" PC - hier liegt im Rootverzeichnis der Harddisk ein kleines Installationsprogramm, das die PG Fonts auf dem Rechner instaliert.
So, nun muss ich dringend zur Arbeit. Falls noch Fragen sind - bin heute abend wieder am Rechner ...

Hallo Alex,
danke für den prompten Bericht. Die 6,02 € Steuernachzahlung kann man ja gerade noch verkraften ...
Und die Vor-Installation scheint auch sinnvoll und brauchbar. Man kann ja mit einem Tool, das Ordnerinhalte vergleicht, die benötigten Dateien der älteren Versionen ausfindig machen und dann rüberkopieren.
Ich bestell also mal auch das UltraPAK, könnte ja vor Weihnachten noch eintreffen.
Ist die Platte eigentlich eine 3,5-Zoll-Disk mit dickem Netzteil oder eine 2,5-Zoll, die ihren Strom über USB bezieht?

Hallo Ralf, das ist ne 2,5 Zoll Platte, die bekommt ihren Saft über das mitgelieferte USB Kabel. Das manuelle Kopieren der "alten Sachen" von C:\bb auf die Harddisk hat ca 15 Minuten gedauert. Da waren diverse Ordner mit Fakebooks, 101 Riffs, Guitar Solos, etliche Norton Styles und last but not least zwei Artist Soloist Files. Es sammelt sich ne ganze Menge Zeugs an mit der Zeit  Gruß - Alex

Der "RealTracks-Mark-Knopfler" von Set 21 klingt schon mal klasse!

Hallo Alex,
heute kam meine UltraPAK-HD an. Donnerstag bestellt - Samstag geliefert! Geht ja superschnell. Bravo PGMusic!
Allerdings hat mir UPS 14,56 EU-Steuer abgeknöpft. Und weil der UPS--Fahrer nicht genügend Wechselgeld hatte, kam ich mit so "erzwungenem Weihnachtstrinkgeld" in Summe sogar auf 16 Euro.
Scheinbar berechnet UPS oder der Zoll bei gleichem Warenwert mal so mal so. Merkwürdig, dass Du nur 6 Euro berappen musstest.
Im amerikanischen Forum berichtet ein Holländer, er hätte 23 Euro EU-Steuern zahlen müssen.
Laut meiner Rechnung wären doch eigentlich sogar ca. 19 Euro fällig = 19% auf den die Freigrenze von 22 Euro übersteigenden Wert. Also umgerechnet ca. 125 Euro Warenwert (VK+Versandkosten, je nach Dollarkurs) minus 22 Euro, davon dann 19%
Das erscheint mir schon alles sehr merkwürdig und verwirrend. Einfuhr ist ja fast wie Lottospielen ...
