I can understand in most cases getting rid of the bluegrass, but the country can cross over. I'd try and audition them first. Just make an 8 bar song and put in a style and play with it. It gives you choices. Sometimes I've put a banjo in a celtic song, or a country guitar style in a rock song. I think you will find they don't bother you, I have everything and never have weeded out that stuff. Some of the fiddle makes an interesting backgound, I pull the volume level way down. Same for pedal steel.
