Hi All: Just a question or two...
One: How may I "extend" a track length in RB? I feel the 2 bar ending is too short and I would like to extend it so that I may add some things (either a few more phrases, or a more gradual fade over time for ex).
(Incidentally, BIAB offers the 4 bar ending does it not? Wonder why this doesn't carry over? Perhaps it does if I generate it there and bring it in to RB...haven't tried to verify yet.)
In my other DAW it is easy, just select the track/clip and drag over in the time line...not so in RB obviously.
Moreover, if this is possible, can the same technique be used for an "all/selected tracks" approach?
(MIDI tracks btw)
Two: Seems there just "one way" communication with my external keyboard (from RB to my Motif only). Wondering if there's a trick to get two-way set up?
It would be a wonderful world (ha) if RB would recognize fader and knob tweaks (and patch changes) in real time within the GUI. I'd like to take advantage of using them vs going to the GUI each/every time.
Thank you in advance! So far I'm just getting my feet wet, but having a great time...PG is awesome.

Extend track - go to end of track and hit record ...
Highlite as many tracks as you want (if they all end at the same point)

Got a MIDI cable going In and Out of the computer and Out and IN on the keyboard? How's it connecting? Probably just have to make sure the cabls are correctly installed, and that the devie being used is enabled for both MIDI in and MIDI out sides under MIDI Devices (in preferences)
If that's not it, maybe the keyboard itself needs to be set to respond to all MIDI coming in. With a 'performance' or GM setting so it is multitimbral.

The 2-bar ending feature can be limiting if left on. If you are having RB generate the tracks according to your chosen style, uncheck the 2-bar ending box, reset the number measures in the box to a larger number, then regenerate your tracks and tweak until you get something to your liking.

Hi Guys: All very good suggestions...thank you for your input.
Rharv: I'm not sure what the magic potion will be, that is, IF it can be done. I'm hoping someone has had success with what I'm talking about and may at some point possibly share.
I'm not sure how to check my keyboard in reference to what you talked about. My other DAW has a MIDI Mapping feature...which is fairly intuative (move a control surface item, it gets identified and I can assign it and so on). I'm using a midi usb interface (straight connect from keyboard to PC).
Terry: In the instance I'm referring to, I've opened a demo song within a style folder just for fun to play with. I felt the ending was too abrupt at 2 bars. I'll have to tweak some settings to check the results (I'm still VERY green here) like perhaps un-checking the 2-bar ending box, and if possible, add some new bars and then figure out how to regenerate all tracks (which by the way is another question): All at once, or one at a time?

there is a list on the left and one on the right. Sounds like on the input side you have the USB MIDI connector enabled
If you enable it on the output side the midi will go out to your keyboard.
To test, **note what is highlited now so you can put it back later..
Then select the USB MIDI device to the yamaha and then click 'move selected device to top' button. If it is the only one highlited and at the top of the list, all midi tracks will go to the yamaha
