I heard that because BIAB is VST capable, I can use soundfonts instead of the DXi GM synth sounds. I have a GM soundfont set that I like (31.4 MB).
1) What VST soundfont "player" (program) do you recommend - free would be best? I downloaded SFZ197, Soundfonter, DSK SF2 v2. Any of these okay? I heard that SFZ197 'from' Cakewalk is best with BIAB, and I'd try it, but there might be some virus (spyware) concerns (?). I D/Led it from the cakewalk link & others use it, so it should be fine - the setup IS an exe not a zip file tho. Anyone use SFZ (or any other VST) for using soundfonts with BIAB?
2) Do you think I should get ASIO4free? Esp if I start using soundfonts.
BTW, no one at PG music uses soundfonts with BIAB. I emailed them.
