To put it in the language of folks like me that are not musically sophisticated, but do basic songs. Let's say you have a typical pop or country song, and you have a four bar intro, and three verses, and after the second and third verses you will have a chorus then an ending. The bar markers should be the first bar of each verse and each chorus with maybe one for the ending, and maybe on for the intro. So as the intro ends and it goes into the first verse you get a drum fill. And as you go into the second verse another, then the same for the chorus and verses to follow. If you use the A part marker on the verses, and intro, and the B part marker on the choruses you will see that the chord structure and drum track a constructed to follow that pattern.

Ditto.
ALL of my songs are structured this way.
Intro=Green
Verse=Blue
Chorus=Green
Solo=Green
Tag Line=Green.
This gives you the drumfill before each part marker leading into the next section but more importantly the BLUE end up with HH & snare/sidestick & Green end up with Ride Cymbal & snare. Good dynamic feel for country or pop
