I downloaded the new RealTracks update patch yesterday when I saw that work had been done on those previously not very good walking bass lines. It took a heck of a long time to download, because I run the audiophile version. It resulted in an email from Telstra saying "We're writing to let you know that you've just reached 9674 MB for your BigPond ADSL service." I have an allowance of 12,000 MB but this is only the 6th of the month and I do have a business to run. So no more updates this month please.

Today I have been testing many of the tracks and I am extremely pleased because they are very much improved. I did not run them all but I did test the Jazz Ballad Sw 085 with the normal, Simple and Very Simple bass lines. I also did the same thing with two faster tempos and compared them all with roughly corresponding midi tracks. The bass lines are much more logical and the embellishment (triplets, quavers and grace notes) has been vastly reduced. This makes them swing much more and gives solid help to someone who is practicing soloing, or using them as a foundation for an arrangement, or even performance.

Also those printout problems where there were chords shown instead of a single bass note have been fixed.

Thank you guys! I am very happy!
