Hello!
I need advice before buying a new sound card. I have used Sound Blaster products for years and am happy with them. I hate Creative software. I had to stop using my collection of soundfonts because Creative software wont run on my machine. No biggie. I used Coyote and Real Tracks now, and my Yamaha DGX keyboard.
My current card pulls to the right and is developing snap-crackle-pops, and a noise floor that wasnt there before.
I looked on Amazon and they have Soundblaster products from 30US to 300US. Also Turle Beach Montego for 60US, which is my price range about now.
I don't need special effects for games or movies. I have ASIO turned on in BiaB because I learned here that's what I should do. Don't do much MIDI recording from keyboard. I run mikes through a Shure Mixer to the soundcard.
What do y'all say I should look at?
