Ich habe mir jetzt dieses Programm gekauft und auch das mehrhundertseitige Handbuch ausgedruckt und versucht, den Inhalt zu verstehen. Ich besitze ein älteres Yamaha-Digitalpiano mit Sequenzer und wollte mit diesem BIAB-Programm meine Songbilbliothek ergänzen und vervollständigen. Bevor ich in die Materie näher eindringe, wollte ich zunächst am PC (Windows7HP32Bit) mit einem angeschlossenen Midi-Keyboard Songs einspielen und als GM01-Midi-Dateien auf Diskette abspeichern, um sie mit meinem Sequenzer über das Digitalpiano abzuspielen. Mit den Beispielsongs des BIAB-Programms gelingt das auch. Aber: wie bewerkstellige ich es, um mit meinem Midi-Keyboard die Melodie-Linie und mit der linken Hand die automatische Akkordbildung mit Schlagzeugbegleitung zu aktivieren. Mir ist es nicht klar, welche Schalter des BIAB-Programms ich benutzen muß. (Vor vielen Jahren hatte ich unter Windows95 mal ein Programm, daß sich analog einer elektronischen Orge bedienen ließ. Wie läßt sich das mit dem BIAB-Programm realisieren?
Leider hat mein Mainboard nur eine Onboard-Audiokarte (Realtec High Definiton Audio, Treiberversion 6.01.5969). Mit dem Midi-Keyboard kommen die angeschlagenen Töne erst mit Verzögerung, obwohl ich die Latenzzeit entsprechend Vorgabe des Programm eingestellt habe.
Wer hier im Forum kann mir (nach Möglichkeit step-by-step) auf meine Fragen entsprechende Hilfe geben?

Hallo,
mir ist nicht klar, was Du genau beabsichtigst. Willst Du mit BIAB Songs erstellen und z.B. zu einer eingespielten Melodie vom Programm Harmonien und eine Begleitband generieren lassen? Dann spielst Du zuerst die Melodie mit den Keybord ein, alle weiteren Schritte werden dann innerhalb von BIAB mit Hilfe der Menüoptionen vorgenommen. Nicht vom Keyboard aus. Der fertig erzeugte Song wird dann per Midi zurück aufs Keyboard überspielt - wie die Beispielsongs.
Oder willst Du BIAB live verwenden z.B. als Begleitband und dazu mit dem Keyboard spielen. Dann musst Du die Songelemente (Spuren, Strophen, Intro, Endungen usw.) vorher arrangieren. Du kannst dann live den "Konduktor zur Playbacksteurung" (Symbol mit dem Dirigenten) per Midi-Keyboard nutzen. Das ist aber eine komplett andere Baustelle. Hier werden keine Harmonien oder Akkorde in Echtzeit generiert, sonder nur fertige Songteile zum Abrufen per Midi konfiguriert.

Hallo Ralf,
danke für das Feedback. Die Ausführungen in Deinem 1. Absatz treffen zu. Eine Live-Verwendung beabsichtige ich nicht.
Realisierung:
1.) ich spiele die Melodie auf dem Midi-Keyboard (Wie suche ich die Stimmen aus?)
2.) Welche Schalter muß ich anschließend in der Symbolleiste anklicken, um Harmonien und eine Begleitband generieren zu lassen?
3.) Wird mir danach angezeigt bzw. demonstriert, wie das komplette Musikstück klingt?
Das Abspeichern als General-Midi-0-Datei auf Diskette (z.B. von den Beispielsongs) ist mir klar und die Wiedergabe funktioniert mit meinem Hardware-Sequenzer in Verbindung mit dem Midi-Piano.
Bitte entschuldige mein Unwissen. Ich muß mich aber erst mal mit den mir sehr unbekannt vorkommenden Grundfunktionen vertraut machen, da ich noch nie mit einem derartigen Programm gearbeitet habe.
Läßt sich noch mehr einstellen, um die Verzögerung (Latenz) beim Anschlag der Tasten zu beseitigen? Wie ich bereits mitteilte, hat mein PC mit Windows7HP32Bit die Onboard-Audiokarte Realtec High Definiton Audio, Treiberversion 6.01.5969. Unter den Eigenschaften für Software-MIDI-Synthesizer wird angezeigt: Sound Canvas-Beispielsatz: Roland, GM/GS(R) Sound Set Copyright 1996

1. Melodiespur anklicken und links eins der Midi-Instrumente auswählen
2. Im Menü "Fenster" die Reharmonisierungsfunktion aufrufen oder in der Symbolleiste auf das Reharmonisierungssymbol (Noten + G7) klicken. Was man hier machen muss, steht im Handbuch unter "Reharmonist" oder im Dialogfenste auf Hilfe klicken.
3. Natürlich
Zur Latenz: Eine Onboardkarte wird immer eine höhere Latenz haben, als eine gute Recordingkarte (PCI, USB oder FireWIre). Das liegt an der Qualität z.B. der verbauten Wandler und Bausteine und vor allem am Treiber. Die meisten Zusatztkarten bringen einen auf sie abgestimmten ASIO-Treiber mit, der für geringe Latenzen sorgt.
Eine schlichte Onboard-Karte ist eventuell mit einem universellen Asio-Treiber wie "ASIO4ALL" zu betreiben. Funktioniert aber nicht immer und sorgt manchmal für Probleme mit Midi. Die Latenz wird zwar besser, kann aber i.d. R. nicht mit der von guten Audio-Interfaces oder -karten mithalten.

Danke für die hilfreichen Infos.
Habe den Asio-Treiber ASIO4ALL (Version 2.9 Deutsch) heruntergeladen und installiert. (Er installierte sich auf C>Programme). Nach PC-Neustart tat sich nichts. Weder im Systray noch auf "Anpassen" war nichts davon zu sehen. Offensichtlich funktioniert er nicht mit meiner Soundkarte.
1.)
Ich bringe es einfach nicht fertig, eine "nackte" Melodie einzuspielen. Immer, wenn ich beginne, fängt eine nicht zum Takt passende Begleitung an.
a)
Was muß ich da einstellen?
b)
Wenn dann die (für micht noch unbekannten) richtigen Parameter eingestellt sind, muß ich erst auf "Aufnahme" gehen oder kann ich das Einspielen ohne Aufnahme beenden, danach die Reharmonisierungsfunktion aufrufen und erst nach erfolgter Generierung das komplette Musikstück als Midi-Datei abspeichern?
Aufgrund der Werbung zum Programm hatte ich mir das alles viel einfacher vorgestellt. Im mehrhundertseitigen Handbuch wird von grundlegender Kenntnis des Programms ausgegangen. Für mich fehlt eine kurze step-by-step-Anleitung. Aber ich hoffe, daß ich mich wohl im Laufe der Zeit noch besser mit BIAB vertraut machen kann und bitte hier im Forum um weitere Unterstützung. Z. Zt. ist bei mir die "lange Leitung" noch sehr präsent.

Klick doch mal mit der rechten Maustaste auf die Spuranwahl der "Melodiespur" und wähle dann in dem Menü "Solo" aus.
Nun sind alle anderen Spuren stummgeschaltet.
Zur Sicherheit auch noch die Audio-Spur mit Rechtsklick auf "stumm" schalten.
Jetzt sollte nur noch das Metronom zur Aufnahme mitlaufen. Es lässt sich unter Einstellungen --> Einzähler/Met anpassen

Du wirst bei dem Treiber noch was einstellen müssen. Wie und was, dürfte in der Dokumentation des Treibers stehen. Auch wirst Du Deinen alten Treiber wohl zuerst deinstallieren müssen. Ich nutze einen Karteneigenen ASIO-Treiber, daher kann ich da nicht helfen. Zu ASIO4ALL gibt es aber unzählige Anleitungen und Hilfen im Netz. Google mal!
Zu 1a.: Einfach die Band stummschalten z.B. mit Rechtsklick oben auf BAND. Oder den Style de-aktivieren z.B. Klick auf die Box mit dem Style-Namen und das Häkchen bei "aktiviert" abwählen. Oder einen leeren Style ohne Instrumente wählen z.B. BLANK.STY. Um eine Melodie aufzunehmen brauchst Du ja erst mal keinen Style. Ein passenden wählst Du dann bei Rehamonisieren. Dann aber wieder laut schalten bzw. aktivieren ...
Zu 1b.: Du musst eine Midi-Aufnahme machen. Roten Kopf für Midi-Aufnahme drücken. Rest erklärt sich selber bzw. Handbuch.
Um dessen Lektüre kommst Du nicht rum. Es gibt dort auch einen Schnelleinstieg und die Kapitel sind sinnvoll gegliedert. Jedes Dialogfenster hat auch einen Hilfebutton und Ballontexte bei den einzelnen Optionen. Gerade das Thema Midi-Aufnahme ist in Kapitel 10 des Handbuchs ab Seite 259 gut und verständlich erläutert. Musst Dich halt - wie alle hier - ein wenig reinfuchsen. Bei Problemen helfe ich gerne, aber Handbuchlesen will und kann ich nicht ersetzen. Nichts für ungut ...
