One of the criticisms I've read on various discussion groups that compare BIAB to RealBand is RBs fixed output. Whereas BIABs MIDI can be edited, the audio can't. I suspect that those who like BIAB for that reason would like RB as much if it were equally editable.

For that reason, I think a plugin that does approximately what Sonar's V-Vocal or Celemony's Melodyne does would make an already great program much more modifiable. It would allow the following kinds of edits:

1) if a real instrument left too much space betweenriffs, you could stretch the last note to make it sustain

2) if you wanted different notes than those that were generated, you could simply drag the note to a new pitch

3) you could add modulation

4) you could add harmonies
