Hi Everyone, I am doing this project now with synths that can only play one note at a time per channel. Is it possible in BB to split a piano, guitar, or harmony part, so instead of making multiple notes on one track or channel, BB would split a 3 note harmony track into 3 different chs. One for each haromy voice. A guitar part into 6 chs, one for each guitar string, and a piano part into 6 or more chs. This would be like how BB already splits drum set sounds into multiple chs. So you have hi hats on one ch, toms on another, snares on another, cymbals on another ch. Cah this be done with piano and guitar parts also? Thanks MidiVox

Not in BiaB there is not enough tracks, but in Rb you could it would take some hard work, but it is possible.
HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini Sonoma with 16 gig of ram, BiaB 2025, Realband, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 9 32c , Melodyne 5 editor, Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL, Presonus control app.

Hi MidiVox,
It is possible to write the Guitar part to 6 individual channels when you save a BIAB song as a MIDI file. Opt | Preferences | MIDI File and then check "Write guitar part on 6 channels"
Similarly, MIDI harmony can be set to individual channels via Opt | Preferences | Harmony. Again, this can be saved into a MIDI file.
The above might be good starting places for obtaining what you are after.

Hi All, Noel,
Ok that helped on the BB end, but when I imported the midi file into the single voice to a track program. Its import recognized that the guitar and the harmony track contained multi chs. But the BB Track still only had one guitar track number, same with the harmony track so am not sure that it split correctly on input.
I will have to open the midi file into other software as a test.
The mono synth will playback 16 chs, but each ch can only have single note lines.
