I don't understand.

When you enter a note in band in a box the line designates that it is a whole note. When you put in the next note on the grid the assumption is made that you have chosen to make the note the interval in the duration.

To me your question does not have enough 'flesh'. Tell us how you are entering the note, where, and what you are seeing, then doing. Perhaps then we can formulate an answer.

And, you are in the wrong forum. If it's a Band in a Box question it goes there. Here is the forum for someone who has a great explanation of something and wishes to expound on it.

It does not get the traffic that the other forum gets. So in the future...
