Digital audio is what it is, from DAW to DAW it is the same. What make things sound better is the effects that are used, and the skill of recording a clean clear signal. Where the "new audio engine" comes in here is that they have added Elastique audio stretching software to the system. This will allow things like RTs and other audio based tracks to be tempo and time stretched farther with less degredation. The TC software included will sound the same unless you go to stretch it one way or the other and then it will not degrade as fast. To get decent sounds out of the TC plugin it take a lot of work and understanding of the software. I never really liked it much, although i had a few times where it sounded pretty good, but could be over done easily. I prefer to use my rack mount TC hardware unit, and actually sing the harmonies where i can.
