Just ordered BIAB 2011- the full monty inc 160gb external hard drive.

Never used BIAB before but it looks so promising that I thought I have to try it and why go for half measures.?!

I feel I'm a professional and professionals know that you don't buy the cheap version. If you do, you'll regret it and kick yourself later for being such a tightarse.

On the other hand....not going for half measures is dangerous; either its going to be great and I won't regret it or (much more likely) I'll tinker around with it for a while and get fed up and it will join all the other effects pedals, software, harmonizers, guitarwonderizers etc that I have bought and now sit sadly in a cupboard- unloved and un-used.

Most gear you buy ends up as a poor old teddy bear. So why buy any more? Why not just accept that you are a sad sack who needs the comfort of new equipment for a quick fix before moving on to the next wonder which is going to solve everything and be the ultimate, (and last!) solution. "If I only had one of those...I'd be a better player, I could realize my dreams, I could ..get myself together and start being a serious musician"

None of it is true and the sad thing is we all know it.

So why am I posting? Why did I buy it? Why am I whingeing on?

Simple really. Musicians are daft. But they always live in hope and get excited about things that they probably shouldn't and just want to buy something that they can later claim to be the key to a career they are unlikely to ever have. "If I hadn't come accross the fantabulizerzx3, I would never have developed my unique sound". We are cannon fodder for marketeers.

Having said all this; I'm still daft and I still live in hope and what I would really like is for loads of you to say Band in the Box is absolutely fantastic , best thing since sliced bread and that I haven't made a bad decision (again).

So positive comments only please. Lets all be daft together and keep the illusion going. It can make a difference and it is worth buying. Isn't it? We live the dream.
