Just wrote another one last night. This one is pretty different for me. It's sort of a Chet Atkins Celtic Bluegrass Folk-Rock song.

All the instrumentation is RT/RD.

Moving On

Here are the RT/RD's used...
#366, Bass, Electric Country EV65
Drums, BodhranCelticJig #5-Brushes Simpl
#605, Guitar, Electric, Chet Pickin EV100
#598, Guitar Acoustic, Strum, Bluegrass Doc EV100
#1164, Guitar, Acoustic, Rhythm Celtic Reel EV110
#377, Guitar Resonator, Background Trav EV88
#597, Guitar Acoustic, Solo, Bluegrass Doc EV100
#596, Fiddle, Solo, Bluegrass Doc EV100

Please let me know what you think on this one.

Thanks!

Steve

Steve,

I thought this was cool. The RT's sound great, also a very good mix except to me the vocal is just too out front in relation to the rest of the mix. JMHO

Good song.

Steve, this certainly has that early 60's Chet feel. Really nice use of the real tracks. Nice smooth vocal - good job.

Greg,

Thanks for taking the time to listen, and I am glad you liked it! I did a quick redo on the mix and adjusted my vocals slightly. I just recorded the vocals this morning. I always wait a couple days before I do any real serious mixing, so the song should sound much better in a few days.

Thanks!

Steve

Bob,

As always, thanks for the input! My dad was a big fan of Chet Atkins, and I have a friend who plays a lot like Chet did, named Doyle Dykes. So I always enjoy good fingerstyle playing!

Have a great day!

Robert,

Thanks so much! Glad you like it!

Josie,

I really appreciate your listen! Yes, I liked the feel that the drums bring to this one. The brushes were the only ones I thought worked, but there are some nice options there.

Have a great day!

Steve

You certainly know how to place and mix in instruments to gain maximum effect. Great arrangement, as always. Very realistic -- well done.

Are you using the BIAB harmonizer? I can't get it to sound worth a hoot! Thanks for listing the instruments used -- I'll have to use that drum patch somewhere.

Powderman,

Thanks so much. Glad you like it!

Russ,

I appreciate you taking the time to listen. Thanks for the kind words!

John,

Much appreciated! Glad you like the mix.

Kevin,

I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I truly appreciate your time! All the voices are me (cheap labor). No Harmonizer here. I have yet to try the BIAB Harmonizer. I'll have to get around to using it one of these days. I think Josie has had some pretty good results with it. I've always just done my own vocal tracks.

Thanks again!

Steve
